I am an Assistant Professor (with tenure) at the University of Groningen. From September 2013 until August 2017, I am working on my own research project at the Department of Computational Linguistics analyzing tongue and lip movements of second language learners. This four-year post-doctoral research project is funded by a Veni grant (€ 250,000) of the Netherlands Organisation of Scientific Research (NWO). Since 2015, I am a member of the Dutch Young Academy (De Jonge Akademie). In July 2016, I received the European Young Research Award.

Vacancy for a fully funded four-year PhD position (€ 1700/month) interested in computationally analyzing legal court judgments (together with Michel Vols). Contact me if you are interested or want more information. Information about
how and when to apply can be found here (project 2: deadline May 14, 2017).
